In a striking contemporary building, performing arts audiences can enjoy a rich and varied programme of theatre, music, dance and circus throughout the season, from October to June.

La Cigalière offers many cultural activities for younger audiences: performances, screenings, meetings and open rehearsals take place during school hours, in the holidays and on family Wednesdays.

The venue also hosts artist residencies and supports amateur arts by presenting performances by the town’s many cultural associations. Its flexible spaces also accommodate charity and awareness-raising events.

The company has set up its workshops, a rehearsal room and set storage in municipal premises in the La Tuilerie business park. The outdoor space also lets us work in the open air when the weather permits. We are very fortunate to be based in Venerque, where we can develop both our artistic work and our educational activities.

For a company like ours, strong local roots are essential.
Since moving to the town in October 2009, the company has presented all its productions to local schools, either at Venerque’s village hall or at another venue, such as the Théâtre National de Toulouse, where the children of Venerque have been guests of honour at the company’s premieres.
